Black Poker is a single-player AI narrative game built around a four-player Texas Hold’em table. The player enters a fictional underworld succession game and competes with three NPCs: Akai, Lin Zhi, and Tang. Each NPC has a distinct personality, memory, and attitude toward the player.

Unlike a traditional poker game, the experience is not only about winning hands. The player’s betting behavior, dialogue choices, risk-taking style, and table presence all influence NPC affinity and narrative outcomes. The project explores how deterministic game rules and LLM-generated dialogue can work together to create a more reactive, character-driven gameplay experience.
